Loomis Professional Building

Loomis Professional Building

The Loomis Professional Building in Greenfield, Wisconsin is a three story building offering over 65,000 square feet of Class A office space. At the very beginning of this project the owner expressed an interest in constructing a building that would be cost effective, could be erected quickly, and was constructed of quality materials. With the exception of the steel-framed entry canopies, Perspective Design incorporated precast and prestressed concrete throughout the structure. In addition to fulfilling a structural and enclosure role, the exterior wall panels have an architectural finish that incorporates cast-in thin bricks accented by a special, colored concrete mix with an acid-etched finish on the exposed concrete portions of the wall panel. The most significant advantage of using the precast building system was that construction time was substantially reduced. Through the coordinated effort of only three subcontractors (the precaster, the roofer and the glazer) the construction time was substantially reduced.
